Industries we covered
Retail
A startup in the retail sector aims to offer a checkout-free shopping experience through computer vision and AI. This is a profoundly intricate issue, largely because their solution relies solely on cameras. Another stipulation was that human biometrics, such as face detection, must not be used to ensure privacy.
For this project, we crafted a top-tier 3D perception system to monitor every person entering the store and the items they select. We utilized multiple cameras and Nvidia Jetson.
Agriculture
Major farm equipment OEMs aim to enhance their machinery with computer vision and AI. This spans from lane detection in fields to assessing the cut quality of harvesters. The primary challenge in creating a model for farm operations is managing environmental uncertainties like dust, fog, and light variations.
In this project we developed vision models using open source algorithms and fine tuned them with domain specific data. Object detection, segmentation and classification were heavily used.
Healthcare
A startup working in the medical space wanted to track events and item flow inside the operating room using multiple cameras. Detecting and tracking people and objects in a room with multiple cameras presented a complex problem due to environmental uncertainties and PHI rules which prevent the use of biometric features.
In this project, we developed robust object detection models to identify people and objects, and then tracked each individually across multiple camera regions.
Construction
A company that develops software applications for the construction industry is seeking a solution to measure buildings precisely using computer vision. The required measurement accuracy for this project was 5mm or less. Existing photogrammetry solutions required significant human intervention.
In this project, we combined novel 3D reconstruction and photogrammetry techniques to create an efficient and accurate building measurement tool."
